Beach
Three miles of beautiful white sandy beach, rated as one of the best beaches in America. It's the reason Ogunquit exists.
Boat Cruises
Several boat cruises run out of Perkins Cove, from a Nubble Light House cruise, to whale watching, to lobstering, to deep sea fishing.
Day Trip to Kennebunkport
Some call it Bush Country, but the hats are fabulous. Dock Square is as cute a town square as one will find in New England. There is an excellent selection of restaurants, and it's only 20 minutes away.
History of Maine

Laudholm Farm Reserve
Located on Laudholm Farm Rd. (marked off of Route 1) in Wells. This 1600 acre nature area includes meadows, woods and 2 barrier beaches located at the mouth of the Little River. Seven miles of trails lead through fields and woods to the beaches.
Marginal Way
A 1.25 mile walk along the cliffs with dramatic views of the ocean. The path starts in the village on Shore Road after the Sparhawk Hotel and meanders the coastline to Perkins Cove.
Called the Marginal Way because its on the "margin" of the ocean, this is one attraction that is a must.
Mount Agamenticus
Mount A is over 7000 acres with trails for hikers, bikers, and ATV riders. You'll see spectacular scenery at every turn, and, if you're lucky, a moose or two!
Nubble Light House
A well known, frequently photographed lighthouse, it's located in Cape Neddick, a 15 minute drive along Route 1A (also called Shore Road in Ogunquit). The drive along 1A hugs the coast - you get many breathtaking views of the ocean.
Ogunquit Heritage Museum
The Ogunquit Heritage Museum is housed in the Captain James Winn House, which was built circa 1780. It is located at the Dorothea Grant Common, which is accessible from Shore Road to Obeds Lane. The museum is home to exhibits in three different categories of Ogunquit's history: maritime history, the art colony, and the architecture of the historical Winn House
Ogunquit Memorial Library
While visiting Ogunquit Maine, a must see is the beautiful Ogunquit Memorial Library, on the National Register of Historic Places. Open everday in Summer except Sunday. Closed for lunch 12-2
Ogunquit Museum of American Art
It's been called "the most beautiful little museum in the world." Upon entering the Museum, visitors look directly through the glass wall of its main gallery to the dramatic coast, the ocean and the far horizon. The Museum building is surrounded by three acres of landscaped grounds, with a reflecting pool and sculpture gardens.
The museum is on Shore Road 1.4 miles south of Ogunquit Square and is on the left.
Outlet Shopping
The Kittery Outlets are just 15 minutes away, with 120 different stores, including Banana Republic, Calvin Klein, DKNY and The Gap. If you like LL Bean, the Freeport Outlets are about an hour North.
Perkins Cove
A quaint New England cove with boats, shopping and great restaurants! Perkins Cove was the original artist colony where the post-impressionist artist painted. See the wooden draw bridge, and the house where Betty Davis once lived.
Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge
This public park offers the Carson Trail, a one-mile walk along an upland edge which offers vistas and close-up view of one of southern Maine's most rare and valuable ecosystems: the salt marsh.
Take a Walk
Ogunquit is a small town, and has been called one of America's most walkable. You'll be amazed at what you can see in just a 15 minute walk!
